Yesterday The Boy returned from his friend's house with packages for me (we always send our parcels to there). I knew I had ordered a book and a DVD and could identify one as a book but the other most definitely wasn't a DVD. I turned it over and saw the postmarks from America... could it really be the robot figure I had ordered?
It is!!! Isn't he adorable! He's only about 2inches tall and was handmade by Lisastarchild from sleepyrobot13. I love how intricate the owl is and how happy and smiling the robot is!

WIP Wednesday
Not much to report here - still plodding along at my various projects.
I have made my own pebble-dressing offering: A Pebble Bunny.
It doesn't have a face yet but I'll get around to that soon. I just improvised the design.
Also, I'm all excited again - something I've ordered from Etsy has been shipped today! A little robot figure with its pet owl on its arm. It's coming from Lisastarchild from sleepyrobot13 in America so it will take a while to arrive but the wait will be worth it!

FO Friday - A Cute Little Smiling Robot
Recently, I discovered the magical world of Moon Buns at Moon's Creations. I love the idea of having a basic body and then customising it for an occasion or to represent a character. However I wanted to make it more personal to me so decided that I should make a little crochet robot.
I wanted to make the robot simple, as the Moon Buns don't have arms or legs (but hopefully it's still identifiable as a robot).
So this is what I ended up with:
What do you think? I'm planning on making another one then I'll probably write up the pattern if I'm happy with it.
*Ooh Random Point*
I've set up a blog email address so you can ask me questions directly and I'll get straight back to you.
It is written at the side of my blog so over there --> somewhere hopefully, under the Ravelry icon.
But here it is anyway:
thesmilingrobot @ hotmail . co . uk
Don't forget to remove the spaces.

FO Friday - Halloween preparation and another Robot
I managed to get some projects finished today so here they are:
Bopbot by Nelly Pailloux
Technically it doesn't have the mouth on it yet but it's basically finished.
Also I managed to get this little cutie made:
Boo the Ghost by Leigh Cain
It was so quick and easy to make.
On a completely unrelated subject, my Dad sent me this link which I found quite interesting:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-15391515
and found out that when I was born I was the 5,399,600,088th person alive on earth.

WIP Wednesday
I was rather hoping that this robot would be finished by today but I've been working on my university project for the last few days so that I haven't made that much progress.
Hopefully it'll be finished soon as I want to make some Halloween projects before it's too late.
