Halloween Pumpkin Carving

This year for Halloween we went to a friend's house to do pumpkin carving.  He has a garden so we were all able to sit outside and be messy.

I've only done pumpkin carving once before but naturally I had big ambitions.

The 8 of us all sat in the living room drawing out our creations then set out into the garden to get carving

A while later we were all ready to reveal our creations:

And of course to light them:

My pumpkin all lit up

The creations of my 2 closest graduate friends

All of the pumpkins together

They look good all lit up

I really enjoyed the pumpkin carving - more than I thought I would and I've been promised some of the pumpkin seeds once they have been roasted.

Happy Halloween - The End of Blogtoberfest

Well, today is the last day of Blogtoberfest and I'm glad I've achieved my aim of blogging every day so thanks to Kat for hosting it this year.

Tonight we are going to a house party for Halloween then maybe going to a club or two in town but I won't be staying long as I have lectures in the morning.

My Sunday

Today has been pretty relaxed - starting well by the clocks changing last night.

The Formula One in India today was good and the new circuit in India brought more excitement.  Team Grace did well on the whole!  I got 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th so only one driver was out of the points.

After ironing last night, I sat and crocheted some halloween decorations and this morning I sewed the spring for the mouth onto my Bopbot.

So here is what I made:

The Boy has also decided to brew beer in our flat so we've just got it started.  I don't even drink or like the smell of beer so lucky me!  I took some photos but I'll post them tomorrow

I've got my eye on...

This adorable little pattern:
Boo the Ghost by Leigh Cain

I also love this one:
amigurumi ghost with picot ruffles by Julie Kundhi

I think I may have to make both to make the flat all Halloween-ish
