Rob and I signed up to the local gym last week. We had to have inductions on how to use the gym equipment properly and during this time it was explained that a lot of the equipment allows you to watch tv or listen to the radio while exercising by plugging headphones into the machine.
My last pair of sports headphones broke recently so Rob managed to find a cheap replacement pair in the local supermarket. They are the most annoying headphones I've ever had for getting all tangled up so I started making covers for them using a free pattern from Ravelry: Untangled by Samiha Qureshi.
I'm using my lovely King Cole Wicked wool because I wanted to make them colourful. I've still got quite a long way to go but it is not a priority so won't be done until after my exam.
Another exciting thing that happened today was that my prints from Cathy aka {tinniegirl} arrived today. I bought them with some of my Christmas money. I was surprised to get them so quickly as they arrived from Australia in less than a week.
I've had my eye on the 'Bursts of Flight' print for a while now so I'm pleased to get a copy.

My Free Time
Here is an update on what I've been up to:
Two weekends ago I met up with my best friend from work (the one I went to see Senna with) in Liverpool. We went to the René Magritte exhibition in the Tate Liverpool gallery.

I do love surrealism and it was a really good exhibition. My friend's favourite was Time Transfixed but the one I found most interesting was The Lovers:

On our way through Liverpool we found a Lego shop and we're both pretty big Lego fans so we ended up buying lots of Lego and getting Lego VIP cards (why not!). I got myself a little car which made me think of a Lotus racing car.
Last weekend I visited home for the first time in almost a month. It was great to spend time with my family and visit my Nan.
It also meant that I got to watch the Formula One race with my Mum.
Anyone who follows my Mum's blog will know that she bought wellies recently. I couldn't resist getting myself some snazzy wellies too:
They had their first outing today - walking to ASDA through the puddles just because I could!
That's about all I've done. I've got some photos of projects to show but I'll do that in a separate post.
